* lag 뒤쳐지다. 싸다 (보호하는 의미)

- That Michigan girl is off to rough stuff [저 미시간 소녀, 시작이 좋지 않아.]
* be off to rough stuff = be off to a bad start
* be off to + 장소 : ~ 로 떠나다.
* be off to + 동사 : ~하러 떠나다. 

- There’s no way coach is putting her on the team if she can’t get it together?  [정신 안 차리면 절대 못뽑힐걸?]
* get it together 열심히 하다. 정신차려 살다. 마음을 진정시키다.
  (명령문으로 쓰일때) 정신차려!

- Like you had it all together when you were a freshman? [ 너 신입생 때는 정신 차렸고?]
; 너 신입생때 모든걸 훌륭히 해낸 너처럼 말이야? 라는 뜻을 비꼬면서 해석된 듯.
* get / have/ put it all together 훌륭히 해내다 .

- I wasn’t that immature [ 저정도는 아니었어] 
; 나는 저 미숙하지 않았어.
* immature (adj) 미숙한, 다 자라지 못한.

- that’s laying it on a bit thick? [ 좀 과하지 않아?]
* lay it on thick 과장하다.
